It is made for spinning in shallow areas and higher in the water column. It works well when targeting trout, perch, and other predatory fish with a compact hardbait.
The stated running depth is 0.5 to 1 m. This makes it a good option for shallow margins, streams, and surface-near presentations.
This version is floating. That helps when fishing shallow water and when pausing the lure around cover or structure.

The Salmo Slick Stick is a compact hardbait for spinning in shallow water and higher in the water column. Its floating design, lively baitfish profile, and versatile action make it a useful choice for trout, perch, and other predatory fish.
The lure combines a steady wobble with the option for erratic twitches, so you can fish it evenly or work it with short rod movements. This helps when fish switch between active chasing and more cautious takes.
With a running depth of 0.5 to 1 m, the Slick Stick is suited to flat margins, shallow streams, and surface-near zones where a deeper lure would run too low. The floating body also helps when guiding the lure over structure.
Salmo builds the Slick Stick with a high-impact plastic body, ultrasonic body welding, and a durable polycarbonate lip. The lure is hand tuned and tank tested, and it comes fitted with sharp VMC 75 series hooks.
The realistic baitfish shape, 3-D eyes, and detailed finishes are designed to match different water conditions and prey cues. Natural patterns like Supernatural Gobie are especially useful where fish key in on small forage.
This product contains sharp hooks. Handle, transport, and store it carefully, and keep it out of reach of children.
