Hornet Sinking 5cm UV Purple
incl. VAT, excl.
The Salmo Hornet Sinking 5cm in UV Purple gets down fast to where the fish are holding, combining a proven crankbait profile with the weight and density to reach mid-water predators without delay.
Constructed from Salmo's proprietary High Density Space-Aged Foam (HDSF), the Hornet Sinking delivers the lively, rod-tip-vibrating wobble of balsa wood while resisting tooth marks, water absorption, and wear. Each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested to swim true straight from the package, ensuring consistent performance on every cast.
A single welded through-wire construction keeps hooks securely anchored even when predators thrash, while the polycarbonate lip withstands strikes, rocks, and years of hard fishing. Fitted with USA-made Rasco split rings, the Hornet is built to land fish season after season and backed by Salmo's Lifetime Warranty.
The Hornet Sinking range offers multiple sizes and colours to match forage and conditions. Select your setup based on target depth, species, and water clarity:
2.5cm — ultralight rods, small streams, trout, perch, asp
3.5cm — light tackle, shallow rivers, perch, chub, small pike
4cm — all-round freshwater, perch, zander, trout, bass
5cm (this variant) — mid-depth cranking, walleye, zander, pike, bass, larger perch
6cm — deeper water, pike, zander, catfish, large walleye
Colour options include realistic forage patterns (Real Dace, Real Identity Perch, Holographic Grey Shiner, Pearl Shad, Trout), high-contrast attractors (Hot Perch, Olive Hot Spot, Beetle), and UV-enhanced finishes (UV Purple) for low-light or stained water.
