The Ryobi NCRT (No Carbon Resin Technology) Naxo 2500 is a capable spinning reel built for light lure fishing in both fresh and salt water, combining a carbon fibre body with precise engineering at an accessible price point.

Carbon Body, Titanium Core

Both the body and rotor are constructed from NCRT carbon fibre, keeping the reel weight down to just 210 g while maintaining rigidity under load. The spool shaft is machined from titanium for long-term corrosion resistance — a practical advantage when fishing in brackish or coastal environments. A CNC-milled aluminium diamond-pattern long-cast spool promotes even, precise line lay for consistent casting distance and accuracy.

Smooth Retrieve and Reliable Drag

Ten stainless steel bearings (9+1) deliver a notably smooth retrieve at a 5.2:1 gear ratio, recovering 70 cm of line per crank — a versatile pace suited to a wide range of lure styles. The water- and dust-sealed carbon drag system provides a maximum of 6 kg of braking force and is compatible with both monofilament and braided lines. Infinite anti-reverse eliminates handle back-play for positive hook sets, while the directly bolted CNC aluminium folding handle and elastane knob add a precise, comfortable feel.

No additional variants are currently available for the NCRT Naxo in this range. The Ryobi NCRT Naxo 2500 is the single available configuration, suited to light to medium lure fishing with lines from 0.25 mm mono or equivalent braid.
