It is designed for pike deadbaiting with a float rig. Use a dead baitfish, such as a roach, with the mounted single hook and two trebles to present it horizontally in the water.
Fix the single hook in the baitfish's back and place the two trebles in its flank. This three-hook arrangement holds the dead baitfish horizontally when float fishing. The supplied hook sizes are listed as 1, 4+4.
The steel-wire leader resists sharp pike teeth and has a stated breaking strain of 14 kg (30 lb). Its strong construction and carbon-steel hooks are intended for fighting large pike, making it a purpose-built trace for this deadbait setup.
The pack contains one 50 cm pike leader in Camouflage, supplied with one single hook and two trebles already mounted. You do not need to assemble the hook arrangement yourself before attaching the dead baitfish.
