The 3 m rods are the shorter option for restricted bankside space and pack down to 152 cm. The 3.6 m and 3.9 m rods have fast-action blanks for casting performance, but need 182 cm and 198 cm of transport space respectively. Choose your working length and check storage space before selecting the test curve.
No casting-weight limit in grams is supplied. The available test curves are 3 and 3.5 lb at 3 m, 3, 3.5 and 3.75 lb at 3.6 m, and 3.5 and 4 lb at 3.9 m. Use these to compare rod power, not as a stated maximum rig weight.
Every version has an offset 1K carbon line clip designed to improve slack-line bite indication, plus marker whippings 30 cm and 50 cm from the reel seat. This gives you a clip for slack-line fishing and fixed reference points when measuring line, regardless of which length you choose.
All versions have a SeaGuide DPS reel seat, six SeaGuide Minima guides including an anti-frap tip ring, an abbreviated carbon grip and a black anodised butt cap. A butt-guide protector and zipped nylon rod sleeve are supplied. The 3 lb rods have a 40 mm butt guide, the others 50 mm, so compare that detail when choosing a version.

The Prologic Combat-X Classic Abbreviated is a two-piece carp rod for freshwater fishing, from close-in margin work to distance casting. Its high-modulus 24/30T carbon blank combines low weight and quick recovery with a balanced playing response. This Abbreviated version has a shortened carbon handle and a 1K carbon finish.
The shorter 3 m models are easier to handle where bankside space is limited and have the shortest transport length. The 3.6 m and 3.9 m models have an explicitly specified fast action for casting performance. Moving to a longer rod also means more length to carry and handle. Within each length, compare test curve and actual rod weight rather than assuming that the higher test curve always means a heavier rod.

Test curve describes the rod's power, not a stated casting-weight limit in grams. Choose the power you need without treating the lb figure as a rig-weight rating. The 3 m, 3 lb version is also specifically described for restricted banks under trees or beside reeds, using boilies on hair rigs, Method Feeder rigs or polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) bags. For this version, the supplier suggests 0.30–0.40 mm monofilament main line and 20–30 lb fluorocarbon or monofilament hooklinks, depending on the water and rig.
Six SeaGuide Minima guides, including an anti-frap tip ring, guide the line and help limit tip wraps during casting. The offset 1K carbon line clip is designed to improve bite indication when fishing slack lines. Marker whippings at 30 cm and 50 cm from the reel seat provide reference points for measuring line. The 3 lb versions use a 40 mm butt guide, while the other versions use a 50 mm guide.
Grey alignment marks at each joint help line up the two sections during assembly. A SeaGuide DPS reel seat, abbreviated carbon grip and black anodised butt cap complete the fittings. There is no hook keeper or gimbal. A butt-guide protector and a zipped nylon rod sleeve are supplied for transport, so check the transport length of your chosen version against your available storage space.
