It is designed for freshwater pole fishing with larger baits and more positive presentations. Maggots, casters, worms and sweetcorn are supported bait choices, and the supplier names carp, tench and roach as target species.
One complete rig is supplied with the float, Accupower line, super-soft shot/olivettes and an N-20 hook already assembled. Attach it to your pole and add your bait rather than building the rig from separate components.
This version has a 0.75 g float rating and 5 m of 0.16 mm line. The supplied length gives scope for deeper swims, but the fishing depth must remain within the usable rig length.
The NiTi wire stem stabilises the float, while the visible 1.5 mm hollow bristle makes delicate bites easier to see. This combination supports bite indication in varied weather and at different depths, including when wind or current affects the float.

The Preston Power Pole Rig is a ready-tied float rig for freshwater pole fishing with larger baits and more positive presentations. Based on rigs tied by Preston's consultants, it combines a stable NiTi wire stem with a visible 1.5 mm hollow bristle to show cautious bites in varied weather conditions. Supplier-listed target species include carp, tench and roach.
The float has a strong line-through balsa body and a NiTi wire stem that provides stability, including in wind or current. Its hollow bristle remains easy to see, helping you spot delicate bites while fishing at different depths.
Accupower line, super-soft shot/olivettes and a sharp N-20 hook are already assembled, so there is no need to tie the rig from individual components. It can be used with maggots, casters, worms and sweetcorn, giving you several bait choices for the same setup. One complete rig is supplied.
This version has a 0.75 g float rating and 5 m of 0.16 mm line. The line length allows use at deeper swims, within the available rig length. The supplier lists the Power Pole Rig in ratings from 0.5 to 2.5 g.
