Choose Long/Heavy for larger carp when extra elastic stretch matters. Preston specifies Heavy elastic for larger carp, and the longer stem allows more elastic to stretch from the feeder. Short stems offer less stretch for quicker landing at high-catch-rate venues.
The kit belongs to Preston's ICS (Inter Change System) and is intended for compatible products in that range. Check Preston's compatibility listings at prestoninnovations.com before selecting a feeder, rather than assuming it fits every feeder design.
The pack contains two stems in the selected version. A quick-change bead enables fast rig changes, but this is a component kit rather than a complete ready-tied rig.

This elasticated stem kit is a feeder rig component for Preston's ICS (Inter Change System). Its integrated elastic cushions runs during the fight, while the Long/Heavy version combines a longer stem with Heavy elastic for larger carp.
Long stems allow more elastic to stretch out of the feeder than short stems, making them suited to big fish and sessions where each fish matters. Short stems offer less stretch and are intended for quicker landing at high-catch-rate venues. Preston specifies Standard elastic for small to medium carp and F1 carp, and Heavy elastic for larger carp. Long/Heavy therefore suits anglers prioritising extra stretch with larger fish rather than the quicker landing associated with a short stem.
Use the stems with compatible products from Preston's Inter Change System range. The quick-change bead allows fast rig changes. Preston lists the compatible range at prestoninnovations.com, so check the relevant feeder or component before choosing your setup.
The pack contains two stems in the selected version. Dispose of plastic materials according to local recycling rules and do not leave tackle in the environment.
