The Predax Fluorocarbon Leader is a 100% fluorocarbon line designed for demanding predator and saltwater applications where near-invisible presentation and high abrasion resistance are essential.
Made from pure fluorocarbon, this leader material is virtually invisible underwater, making it ideal for clear-water conditions. The refractive index of fluorocarbon closely matches that of water, giving anglers a decisive edge when targeting line-shy species.
The Predax Fluorocarbon Leader can be tied with conventional knots or crimped using sleeves, offering flexibility in rigging. It features excellent wet knot strength. For best results when crimping, use the flat sides of the crimping pliers rather than the toothed jaws to minimise surface damage to the material.
This leader material covers a broad range of freshwater and saltwater scenarios. It is well suited for targeting pike, zander, and catfish in freshwater, as well as cod, pollack, and halibut in saltwater environments. Several metres can be used as a long leader section in extremely clear waters for a stealthier presentation.
The line is supplied on a 20 m spool with a diameter of 1.00 mm and a breaking strain of 33.7 kg, making it a heavy-duty option for large predators and demanding saltwater conditions.
