The PENN TIDAL XT Twin Tip is a sea fishing rod for surfcasting from the beach and coast. Two supplied tip sections let you choose between sensitive bite detection and the power needed for heavier casting weights. The 453 model measures 4.50 m and carries the 225g/350g Twin Tip designation.
The Hybrid Sensitip provides sensitive bite registration for finer presentations. The full-carbon tip handles weights up to 350 g for stronger waves, current or weed. Both tips glow in the dark, making bites easier to see in low light. Supported shore-fishing uses include eel, cod, flatfish and sea bass.
The slim, responsive 36T/40T high-modulus carbon blank has a fast action. Carbon X-Wrap reinforcement increases strength and reduces twisting for casting accuracy and control. Saltwater-resistant Fuji K-type guides with Alconite rings help prevent line tangles around the guides and support distance casting. There are eight guides including the tip guide.
The X-Shrink casting grip provides a secure hold during the cast. The rod has a carbon-fibre handle, a rubber butt cap and a saltwater-resistant DPS Type reel seat.
