Choose the 2.29 m 800–1500 g version for weights above 1000 g within its stated rating. Both 500–1000 g versions share the lower rating, so length alone does not increase the supported weight range.

The PENN Conflict DeepDrop sea fishing rods are designed for deep-water fishing with electric reels. Their 24T Carbon blanks use X-Wrap carbon to distribute load evenly and improve strength when fighting large fish at depth.
Spiral-mounted guides prevent the rod from twisting under load. The stainless steel and aluminium oxide guides are saltwater-resistant. A Pac Bay reel seat holds the reel securely, and PENN recommends Fathom electric reels for this series. High-density EVA grips provide a firm hold. All three versions have a Moderate action and a Gloss Black finish.
The 2.1 m version is rated for 500–1000 g, weighs 422 g and has nine guides including the tip. Its 144 cm transport length is the shortest in the family.
The 2.29 m version rated for 500–1000 g offers a longer rod at the same weight rating. It weighs 455 g and has ten guides including the tip and a 169 cm transport length.
For heavier weights, the 2.29 m version rated for 800–1500 g extends the upper limit to 1500 g. It weighs 472 g and also has ten guides including the tip and a 169 cm transport length. Choose it for the higher rating rather than for a more compact packed size.
All versions have two sections and are supplied in a cloth bag. Check the stated transport length against your available storage space, as the two-piece construction does not halve the rod length.
