The PENN Battalion Solid Tuna Broumé is a sea fishing rod developed specifically for drifting and broumé fishing for big tuna. Its parabolic fighting curve is designed to reduce angler fatigue during prolonged pressure, while the Solid Spiral Armor carbon blank combines a slim profile with the strength required for demanding fights.
Spiral-shaped fibres reinforce the solid carbon blank through PENN's Solid Spiral Armor construction. The rod has a stated fast action, while its loaded fighting curve is parabolic. This combination supports responsive handling and distributes pressure during a sustained fight. The high-density EVA handle provides a firm, secure grip when the rod is under load.
This LR model uses Lowrider guides and is intended for conventional reels. Fuji stainless-steel guide frames and Fuji Alconite rings guide the line. It should not be confused with the K-frame version, which the supplier specifies for fixed-spool reels. Choose this LR model when a conventional reel is part of the intended tuna setup.
