TOMCAT TMC-8000

The Okuma Tomcat TMC 8000 is a robust spinning reel engineered for catfish anglers who demand power, durability, and smooth performance when battling hard-fighting fish.
The Tomcat TMC 8000 features a corrosion-resistant graphite body, sideplates, and rotor that stand up to harsh freshwater and saltwater conditions. Seven bearings (6 ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing) deliver smooth retrieves, while the machine-cut brass pinion and precision elliptical oscillation system ensure even line lay and reliable operation under heavy loads.
With 16 kg of maximum drag power backed by multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag washers, this reel gives you the stopping force needed for trophy catfish and other powerful species. The Quick-Set infinite anti-reverse system prevents handle backplay, and the RES II (Rotor Equalizing System) computer-balanced rotor reduces vibration for confident fish control.
The Tomcat TMC series offers four sizes to match your fishing style and target species:
4000 (301 g, 8 kg drag, 5.0:1, 76 cm retrieve) – lighter setups for medium catfish, zander, and pike; line capacity 0.25/260, 0.30/180, 0.35/135 mm/m
6000 (445 g, 15 kg drag, 4.5:1, 79 cm retrieve) – heavy catfish and carp fishing; line capacity 0.30/275, 0.35/200, 0.40/155 mm/m
8000 (631 g, 16 kg drag, 4.8:1, 97 cm retrieve) – big catfish from shore and boat; line capacity 0.40/210, 0.45/165, 0.50/135 mm/m
