The Okuma Solterra SLX B is a family of right-hand conventional reels for saltwater trolling and jigging. Two thrust bearings take side loads and reduce resistance at the handle when a fish puts the reel under pressure. The supplier states a reduction in handle turning force of over 50%. All versions have a modern finish, stainless steel main gears, pinion gears and shafts, and a Carbonite drag system with Cal’s Universal Drag Grease.
A ratcheting drag lever allows precise drag adjustments during use. Double Dog Silent Anti-Reverse provides a quiet anti-reverse mechanism on every model. The low-profile on/off clicker has a stainless steel wishbone.
