Okuma Epixor: controlled lure fishing for perch and zander

The Okuma Epixor spinning rod is designed for active perch and zander fishing on ponds, lakes, canals and rivers. Its slim, light and balanced carbon blank supports casting and precise lure control, while the 121 g rod weight helps reduce fatigue during longer sessions.

Lures and techniques

At 2.28 m with a casting weight of 10–32 g, this model suits softbait fishing with shads, soft jigs and other soft plastics. It can be used for jigging, short lifting movements and bottom retrieves driven by turns of the reel handle. Spoons and spinners offer further options within its casting range. Despite its slender build, the blank has reserve power for playing larger zander.

Handling and protection

A lightweight, ergonomic Touch Blank reel seat and cork handle provide the contact points for repeated casting and retrieving. The rod is equipped with the Coil Control Guide System. A two-way stretch film protects the carbon blank against damage during use and transport.

Transport

The two-piece construction reduces the 2.28 m rod to a transport length of 114 cm, making it easier to carry between fishing spots.
