The Okuma Alijos range combines compact conventional-reel handling with the power and control needed for jigging, trolling and dead-stick fishing at sea. Its two-speed lever drag lets you switch between a fast retrieve and a lower gear when a fish puts the tackle under load.
A one-piece frame and sideplates machined from 6061-T6 aluminium provide a firm foundation while keeping the reels compact. The cold-forged, Type-II anodised aluminium spool and stainless steel main and pinion gears are suited to demanding saltwater use.
The Carbonite Dual Force Drag system applies pressure through large drag plates, while a purpose-built thrust bearing reduces side load at heavy drag settings. The longer 90 mm handle arm and oversized T-bar knob provide useful leverage when retrieving line or working against a strong fish.
Six corrosion-resistant stainless steel bearings, TSI-treated spool bearings and the silent retrieve system support smooth operation and free-spool performance.
