An externally adjustable magnetic braking system lets you adjust spool braking without opening the reel. During the fight, the anodised aluminium star drag controls the Multi Disc Carbonite drag system, rated at 7.5 kg. The self-lubricating drag is designed to dissipate heat during line release.
The bearing arrangement is 6 HPB + 1RB, seven corrosion-resistant stainless steel bearings in total. The Quick Set Anti-Reverse roller bearing prevents backward rotation, and the Ergo Grip handle knob provides a comfortable grip when winding.
