It is intended for heavy catfish rigs, buoy setups and distance fishing on large rivers and reservoirs. The 200–400 g casting weight supports heavy leads and large baits, so choose it for heavy catfish setups rather than light presentations.
Yes. The supplier specifies bank, elevated-position and boat use for this 2.4 m rod. It therefore covers these different fishing positions while retaining its focus on heavy catfish rigs with a 200–400 g casting weight.
The SeaGuide guides eliminate ceramic inserts that could chip or fall out after impacts. This avoids that particular failure point during intensive fishing, without making the guides immune to damage.
The 2.4 m rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 125 cm. It weighs 368 g. Choose a rod bag that accommodates that packed length, particularly if you regularly change swims or travel to fish.

The Madcat X-Zibit Heavy Duty is a catfish rod for heavy rigs, buoy setups and distance fishing on large rivers and reservoirs. Its stiff 24T carbon blank provides leverage when playing large catfish, while the size 20 SeaGuide XDPS reel seat keeps the reel securely mounted under load.
The 2.4 m rod has a casting weight of 200–400 g for heavy catfish rigs with substantial leads and large baits. It can be used from the bank, elevated positions or a boat. Its focus is demanding catfish fishing with heavy setups, rather than light presentations.
Strong braided main line and strong monofilament or braided catfish leaders are the supplier's suggested line types. No specific line strength is stated, so the choice depends on the water and rig size.
The SeaGuide guides have no ceramic inserts. This removes the risk of those inserts chipping or falling out after impacts, a useful construction detail for intensive use and frequent moves between swims.
The rod weighs 368 g and separates into two sections with a transport length of 125 cm. This reduces its packed length for travel and changing fishing spots. Check rod-bag dimensions against the 125 cm transport length. The size 20 reel seat specification identifies the component size, not a reel size recommendation.
