It is a freshwater catfish rod designed for vertical jigging. Its short 1.75 m blank, Fast action and Medium Heavy power suit vertical lure work, so choose it for this technique rather than as a general long casting rod.
The stated lure rating is 60–175 g. Use that range to match your vertical jigging lures to this version, rather than treating the rating as a line-strength or fish-weight limit.
No, it is a one-piece rod with a stated transport length of 1.77 m. Check that your storage space and transport arrangement accommodate that length, as there are no sections to separate.
The fighter foregrip has X-wrap anti-slip shrink tube for a firmer hold and easier cleaning. The SeaGuide reel seat uses dual locking nuts to help keep the reel secure, useful when maintaining control during jigging and playing fish.

The Madcat White Vertical is a freshwater catfish rod for vertical jigging. This version retains the SeaGuide guides of its predecessor but is shorter and 40% lighter, improving handling, comfort and control when playing fish. Its 30TC nano-carbon blank is slimmer, stiffer and more powerful than before.
The one-piece rod measures 1.75 m, weighs 209 g and has a 60–175 g lure rating. Fast action and Medium Heavy power define its setup for vertical lure work. The stated transport length is 1.77 m, so allow for that full length when choosing storage or arranging transport.
The full grip combines EVA with shrink tube, with an EVA butt. X-wrap anti-slip shrink tube covers the fighter foregrip for a firmer hold and easier cleaning after fishing. The ergonomic SeaGuide reel seat uses dual locking nuts to help keep the reel securely attached during use.
Seven SeaGuide guides, including the flanged tip guide, carry the line along the blank. The rod has a white finish.
