This is the receiving unit for bite-alarm signals when static catfish fishing. Its red, green, yellow and blue LEDs provide visual indication, so choose it when you need the receiver rather than the alarm itself.
The stated range is approximately 100 m using FM transmission. FM is less affected by obstacles than traditional AM systems, which helps reception around bankside obstructions, but 100 m is an approximate figure rather than a guaranteed distance at every swim.
The receiver requires two 1.5 V AAA batteries. They are not supplied, so you need to obtain them separately before using it.
The receiver is weatherproof to IP56 for outdoor use. It also comes with a hard protective case, giving you protective storage for transport between sessions.
No questions asked, 30 days to return.
Your data is protected by industry-standard 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption.
The Madcat Smart Receiver is a wireless bite-alarm receiver for static catfish fishing. It receives signals from your bite alarms and has multi-colour LEDs in red, green, yellow and blue for visual indication. This is the receiver model, not the alarm itself.
The stated reception range is approximately 100 m. Frequency modulation (FM) is less affected by obstacles than the amplitude modulation (AM) used by traditional bite alarms. This supports signal reception around bankside obstacles, but the quoted distance is approximate rather than a guaranteed range in every location.
The receiver has an IP56 weatherproof rating for outdoor use and is CE approved. A hard protective case is supplied to protect it during transport and storage.
The receiver needs two 1.5 V AAA batteries, which are not included. Have these ready before your first session.
