It is a freshwater catfish spinning rod for active belly-boat fishing. Its 1.75 m length and extra-short handle make it easier to manoeuvre in the confined space around a seated angler.
The stated lure rating is 50–125 g. Use that range to select lure weights for this model, which has Medium power and a Medium Fast action.
Its transport length is 132 cm with the handle removed. The 1+1 construction comprises two sections, so plan storage around that length rather than expecting a compact, equal-section pack size. A nylon bag is supplied.
Yes, the short handle has a metal ring for attaching a lanyard to yourself or the boat. It provides an attachment point to help retain the rod if it goes overboard, but the ring alone does not tether it.

The Madcat Green Belly Cat is a freshwater catfish spinning rod designed for active fishing from a belly boat. Its 1.75 m length and extra-short handle make it easy to manoeuvre where space is limited. The green design belongs to the Madcat Green Series.
The 50–125 g lure rating gives you the range for choosing lure weights. The sensitive, powerful and balanced 24T Carbon blank combines Medium power with a Medium Fast action. Rod weight is 208 g.
The short Shrink Tube EVA handle and EVA butt keep the grip compact for seated fishing. An ergonomic, double-lock Fuji TVS-TJS16 reel seat secures the reel, while seven SeaGuide guides, including the tip guide, guide the line. A metal attachment ring lets you tether the rod to yourself or the boat with a lanyard to help prevent losing it overboard.
The 1+1 construction has a removable handle, giving two sections and a transport length of 132 cm. Allow for this packed length when choosing storage or transport space. The rod is supplied in a nylon bag.
