The Madcat Full Force Vertical is a powerful yet sensitive solid carbon catfish rod for freshwater vertical jigging with baitfish or clonk teasers. Its short 1.65 m length lets you work close to the boat and the fish finder transducer, making it suited to pelagic fishing from a conventional boat or belly boat.
The rod is rated for 75–175 g lure weights and weighs 292 g. Its action is Medium Fast and its power is Medium Heavy. The short rear grip gives you freedom to move when working a bait beside the boat. The full grip uses Shrink Tube EVA, with an EVA butt.
The 30TC solid carbon blank combines the power and sensitivity needed for this close-range catfish fishing. Madcat specifies a lifting power of 23 kg. The original Fuji DPS reel seat has double locking to secure the reel. Seven SeaGuide guides, including the tip, guide the line. The guide specification is Seaguide XEG, with a double-stone tip guide. The rod's colour is Titanium.
This is a one-piece rod with a stated transport length of 167 cm. Allow that space in your vehicle or rod storage, as it does not break down into shorter sections.
