Float Plus is Madcat's modular trolling motor system designed specifically for belly boats and small inflatables. The FPR is pre-wired with cable routes and mounting points, so you simply install the motor head and secure the battery tray. It provides silent, controlled navigation without paddles or oars.
The 150kg capacity includes angler weight, tackle, electronics, and fuel. This limit ensures the inflatable floor maintains buoyancy, the dual pontoons stay responsive, and you sit at the correct height on the water. Exceeding it compromises stability and may cause water to spill over the low sides during turns.
The FPR weighs 12.5kg uninflated and carries easily via the integrated grab handles. Simply walk the boat to the water's edge, strap on the included foot pump to inflate the floor and pontoons (usually 5-10 minutes), and wade or push off. Reinforced strips on the hull protect against sand and rocks during beach launches.
The fixed 51cm backrest height is designed for seated fishing in predator mode. If you prefer lower or higher seating, you can add an aftermarket cushion or pad to adjust your position slightly. The backrest fabric is durable and supports long sessions without fatigue.
The FPR is constructed from 0.70mm PVC reinforced fabric, standard for professional inflatable boats. This thickness resists punctures, UV degradation, and abrasion far better than thin alternatives. The reinforced strips at both ends protect high-stress areas. Paired with regular maintenance (rinse with fresh water, allow air-dry, store in a cool place), the FPR will deliver 5–10 years of regular use.
Each FPR ships with the boat hull, inflatable floor, inflatable seat, foot pump for inflation, and repair kit (patches and adhesive for minor damage). The Float Plus motor, battery, and accessories are sold separately. The boat is ready to assemble and inflate straight from the box.
