It is intended for buoy and float fishing with heavy baitfish, including underwater-float rigs in rivers and stillwaters. Its 150–300 g casting rating and Heavy power make it a choice for these heavy-bait setups rather than light presentations.
The glass-fibre blank has a parabolic action, so it bends through its length under load rather than working only at the tip. A colour-highlighted, sensitive tip helps make cautious bites visible during stationary bait fishing.
The 3 m rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 157 cm. It weighs 710 g, so check both the available length and carrying weight when choosing a rod bag or arranging your tackle for the trip.

The Madcat Black Cat-Stick is a freshwater catfish rod designed for powerful fish and rough handling. Its glass-fibre blank, double-wrapped guides and aluminium reel seat are built around the demands of fishing with heavy baitfish. It is recommended for buoy fishing and float fishing, with boat fishing also described by the supplier.
This 3 m, Heavy-power rod has a casting weight of 150–300 g and a parabolic action that bends through the blank under load. It suits stationary catfish fishing with buoy or underwater-float rigs in rivers and stillwaters. The colour-highlighted, sensitive tip helps show cautious bites when watching the rod during a bait-fishing session.
The 11 SeaGuide AG guides, including the tip guide, have double-wrapped bindings for secure attachment under load. The guides have no shock rings. A heavy-duty Jinke aluminium reel seat in size #22 secures the reel during the fight. The full EVA grip has a non-slip shrink-tube covering, while the rubber butt provides a durable contact surface when handling the rod.
The black rod weighs 710 g and separates into two sections with a transport length of 157 cm. Check that length against your rod bag or vehicle space when planning transport.
