The Lew's Speed Spool RX is a baitcasting reel for controlled lure casting. Its ParaMag® RX magnetic braking system balances the spool and provides precise brake adjustment to help reduce backlash. The recessed brake dial is positioned for comfortable handling during longer sessions.
ParaMag RX provides strong, adjustable braking so you can fine-tune spool control for each cast. The Knot Slot spool feature simplifies attaching the line to the spool. Mono and braid capacities are both specified, allowing you to compare the reel with your intended line.
The P2 Super Pinion® bearing-supported pinion system maintains gear alignment and stability for smooth operation. An eight-bearing system, specified as 7+1, uses double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings. Hard-anodised aluminium Speed Gears® provide strength and durability under load.
The one-piece aluminium frame provides a durable foundation, while lightweight graphite sideplates help keep the reel weight to approximately 193 g. The carbon fibre drag delivers up to approximately 9.07 kg of braking force for controlling hard-fighting fish.
