Hook the hair into the rounded tip and close the latch to prevent it from slipping off while transferring the bait. Slide the bait onto the hair, then secure it, for example with a boilie stop. The latch retains the hair during transfer, not the bait after mounting.
The flat, wide handle provides a grip for holding and operating the needle. Together with the safety latch, it makes transferring soft baits onto the hair straightforward.
