Korda Compac Retainer Sling: supported carp weighing and retention

The Korda Compac Retainer Sling is a floating weigh sling for carp, measuring 116x70x32cm. Its full-mesh design supports the fish during weighing and is designed to eliminate pinch points, reducing stress and discomfort. Korda developed it over several years and tested it extensively with large European carp.

Soft mesh and a rigid frame

The lightweight, soft mesh improves airflow while cradling the fish. The fabric is 100% polyester. Rigid aluminium bars are hardened for strength, providing a firm frame during handling, while metal weighing loops provide the suspension points for weighing.

Floating supports and a secured tether

Slim, low-profile floating arms support the sling in the water. Reflective markers help you locate it in low light. A 6 m high-visibility retaining cord is stored in a dedicated pocket, with military-grade hooks to secure it and a machined stainless-steel bankstick attachment for anchoring at the bank. These components support the sling's retention function as well as its use for weighing.

Size and transport

The stated dimensions are 116x70x32cm. A bag is supplied for carrying the sling between sessions.

Frequently asked

How does the sling support the carp during weighing?

Soft, lightweight full mesh cradles the fish, with a design intended to eliminate pinch points and reduce stress. Hardened aluminium bars support the frame, and metal weighing loops provide the suspension points, combining fish support with a firm weighing structure.

What equipment is provided for retention in the water?

The sling has low-profile floating arms, reflective markers and a 6 m high-visibility retaining cord with securing hooks and a machined stainless-steel bankstick attachment. The arms provide buoyant support, while the cord allows bankside anchoring and the markers help you locate the sling in low light.

How large is this version, and how is it carried?

This version measures 116x70x32cm and comes with a bag for transport. The retaining cord has its own pocket, so it can be stored with the sling rather than carried separately.
