Yes. The side clip releases the line on the strike with either line tension. The stainless steel ball chain must match the length of the bite alarm, so correct chain adjustment is essential for clean release.
The detachable push-fit system allows chain-length adjustment for nearly any bite alarm. The supplied chain is preset for a Delkim or similarly sized alarm. Adjust it if your alarm has different dimensions.
A stainless steel weight is included, but its mass is not specified. Separately sold 6 g and 8 g Stow weights can be added to adjust line tension for the swim and flow conditions.
No. The bobbin can be fitted with a separately available Mini-Isotope for visibility at night. It comes in seven colours, allowing you to choose an illumination colour separately from the Green bobbin.
It is designed for stationary carp fishing on stillwaters and gently flowing stretches. Compared with the original Stow, its smaller, lighter format suits compact setups while retaining the side-release principle and compatibility with Stow accessory weights.

The Korda Basix Mini Stow is a compact bobbin for stationary carp fishing on stillwaters and gently flowing stretches. Its side-mounted line clip releases the line on the strike, whether you fish with a tight or slack line. Developed at Elstow Lake, it uses the Stow release principle in a smaller, lighter format than the original bobbin, making it useful for compact, lightweight setups. This version is Green.
The stainless steel ball chain needs to match the length of the bite alarm for the line to release cleanly from the side clip. A detachable push-fit system lets you adjust the chain length to suit nearly any bite alarm. The supplied chain is already set to the appropriate length for a Delkim or a similarly sized alarm. If you use a different alarm size, adjust the chain accordingly.
A stainless steel weight is included. Separately available 6 g and 8 g weights from the Stow range can be added to adjust line tension to your swim and flow conditions.
The bobbin accepts a separately available Mini-Isotope to make it visible in darkness. The Mini-Isotope is offered in seven colours, so you can choose the illumination colour independently of the Green bobbin. It is an optional addition, not part of the supplied equipment.
