The Stardust 1000 and 2000 are ideal for trout and light spinning applications. The 3000 and 4000 are better suited to pike, larger bass, and mixed predator scenarios. Match the reel size to your target species and average lure weight.
The Stardust series is primarily designed for freshwater use. While the graphite and aluminium construction offers some corrosion resistance, regular rinsing is essential if used in saltwater. For dedicated saltwater fishing, specialized saltwater reels are recommended.
The 5+1 designation refers to five ball bearings distributed through the reel mechanism plus one additional bearing in the anti-reverse system, totalling six bearings. This configuration provides smooth rotation, reduced friction, and improved longevity compared to reels with fewer bearings.
After each outing, rinse your reel with fresh water and dry thoroughly before storage. Periodically apply quality reel oil to the bearings and main shaft to maintain smooth operation. Check the bail arm and line guide regularly for wear. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Stardust reels accept both monofilament and braided line. For trout (1000/2000), thin monofilament or light braided lines in the 0.18–0.25 mm range work well. For pike (3000/4000), braided lines offer directness of bite detection, while monofilament provides shock absorption for hard-fighting fish.
Most Stardust models are not ambidextrous and come configured as supplied. Hand conversion is not recommended without professional support, as it requires disassembly and reassembly of internal components. If left-hand retrieve is essential, contact the supplier about alternative options.

The Stardust series represents Kinetic's latest reel design, optimized for strength, performance, and durability across multiple size classes. Whether you're targeting trout on small streams or pike on sprawling lakes, these front-drag spinning reels deliver smooth, consistent performance through every fight.
Each Stardust reel features a lightweight graphite composite body paired with an aluminium spool for an ideal balance of strength and low weight. The 5+1 steel ball bearing system ensures smooth retrieval and long-term reliability, while the infinite anti-reverse system prevents backward rotation during the critical moments of the strike and early fight. Paired with a disc drag system that provides precise control and an oversized aluminium bail arm for smooth, quick operation.
The Stardust range spans from the compact 1000 (ideal for trout) through the 4000 (suited to pike and larger species). Each size is engineered with the same quality standards: an asymmetrical, balanced graphite rotor, a pinion gear with steel main shaft for durability, and a CNC-crafted handle with rubberised grip for comfort during long days. The retrieve per turn scales with model size, giving you flexibility in your presentation style.
The combination of modern design, quality construction, and sensible pricing makes Stardust the practical choice for spinning enthusiasts. These aren't novelty reels—they're tools that perform consistently session after session, in salt spray, cool mornings, and warm afternoons alike.
