A simple retrieve makes it imitate a fleeing baitfish, while the metal lip brings it to the surface. It is intended for spinning for perch, asp, chub and other predators, making it a choice for presenting a moving baitfish imitation at the surface.
No. The Riser Bait is specified as sinking, even though it is fished at the surface. Its metal lip brings it up during retrieval, so do not choose it if you need a lure that remains afloat when you stop winding.
Only the colour pattern differs across these six versions. Each is 7 cm long, weighs 8 g, is sinking and has a stated hook size of 10. You receive one lure in the selected colour, so choose the pattern without changing the size or weight.

The Illex Riser Bait is a topwater lure for spinning for perch, asp, chub and other predators. Its metal lip brings it straight to the surface during retrieval, where it imitates a fleeing baitfish. A simple retrieve is enough to produce the action.
Although designed for surface fishing, the Riser Bait is sinking, not floating. Its surface presentation depends on retrieval and the metal lip, so it should not be treated as a lure that stays afloat during pauses.
Each version is 7 cm long and weighs 8 g. The compact shape and relatively high weight allow long, precise casts, useful when reaching surface-feeding predators at a distance. The stated hook size is 10.
Choose from Ayu Head, Bone, RT Perch, Bright Kodachi, RT Biwako Bass and HL Ghost Smelt. All six share the same length, weight, sinking behaviour and hook size, so the choice is between colour patterns rather than different sizes or actions. Each pack contains one topwater lure in the selected colour.
