The 0.14mm version (2.60kg breaking strain) is thinner and lighter, ideal for smaller target species, lighter baits, and situations where maximum sensitivity is important. The 0.15mm version (2.80kg) offers slightly greater strength while maintaining excellent sinking properties. Choose based on your target species and fishing conditions.
A sinking line maintains tension and prevents wind drift, keeping your float anchored over the feeding spot even in challenging conditions. This is especially important during windy sessions where a floating line would pull your rig away from your target area.
This line is engineered for freshwater match and coarse fishing applications. While monofilament can tolerate saltwater use, this line's formulation is optimized for freshwater performance. For dedicated saltwater use, we recommend lines specifically designed for marine conditions.
Standard monofilament knots work reliably with Tubertini Gorilla Sinking. Palomar knots, improved clinch knots, surgeon's knots, and uni knots are all excellent choices. Practice your preferred knot and test the connection before each fishing session.
Like most monofilament lines, Tubertini Gorilla Sinking may show some coiling after extended storage on the spool. This is normal and typically disappears within the first cast or two once in use. Stretch the line gently before fishing to minimize any residual coil.

A dependable sinking monofilament designed for match anglers and coarse fishermen. The controlled sinking properties prevent wind drift and maintain accurate float position over your feeding spot.
This line excels in float fishing applications where a predictable sink rate is essential. The consistent descent helps hold your rig in the correct position even during windy sessions.
The even sinking rate prevents your rig from drifting away from your feeder or baited area. This is particularly important in flowing water or when fishing in windy conditions where maintaining position is critical.
Available in 0.14mm and 0.15mm diameters, each paired with appropriate breaking strain to balance sensitivity with strength. Choose the thinner version for smaller target species or when maximum sensitivity matters, and the heavier version for larger fish or when extra durability is needed.
Supplied on convenient 350m spools, providing excellent value and extended fishing without frequent respool changes.
