The FTM Omura Slotted Tungsten (wolfram alloy) beads let you build compact, precisely weighted jig heads in seconds — perfect for trout spinning with soft plastics and other artificial lures.
Tungsten is significantly denser than lead, meaning a 4.6 mm bead delivers meaningful weight in a very small profile. That compact mass gets your jig into the strike zone faster and keeps it there in current, giving soft-plastic presentations a natural, nose-down action that predatory trout find hard to ignore.
Each bead features a pre-cut slot running through the centre, so you can slide it straight onto a single hook shank without threading through a closed hole. Once positioned, a drop of cyanoacrylate glue locks the bead firmly in place, creating a durable custom jig head that holds up cast after cast.
The Omura Slotted bead range covers three diameters and varying pack counts. Smaller beads suit lighter presentations and clearer, shallower water; larger beads add more weight for deeper runs or faster current. Match size to your hook gauge and target conditions:
