It is suited to static trout fishing, particularly with bottom rigs. After casting, place the rod on a rod rest and hang the line in the indicator, so you can watch for bites while the rod stays in its rest.
As the trout swims away, the indicator rises along the stem and releases the line. The movement makes the bite visible, while the release lets the trout take the bait with almost no resistance from the indicator.
Insert the pointed end of the 60 cm stem into the ground, then use the rubber bands to set the indicator height. You need ground that accepts the point and can position the indicator to suit the line in your setup.

The FTM Forellenkletterer is a visual bite indicator for trout fishing, particularly static fishing with bottom rigs. When a trout takes the bait and swims away, the line-hung indicator rises along the stem and releases the line. This shows the bite while allowing the trout to swallow the bait with almost no resistance from the indicator.
The 60 cm stem has a pointed end for quick, easy insertion into the ground. After casting the trout rig and placing the rod on a rod rest, hang the fishing line in the indicator.
Rubber bands let you adjust the indicator's height on the stem to suit the position of the line in your setup.
