It is a spinning reel intended for all-round fishing, with perch, trout and chub explicitly listed. Its size 1000 and 207 g weight make it an option when choosing a small reel for these species.
The stated capacity is 120 m of 0.165 mm line. Use that pairing to plan your spooling, rather than assuming the reel holds 120 m at every line diameter.
No. The 8 kg figure is the specified maximum braking force, not a recommended fishing setting. Adjust the drag to the strength of your line so it can release line under load.

The FTM Evil 1000 is a spinning reel for all-round fishing, with perch, trout and chub explicitly named as target species. Its size 1000 format and 207 g weight suit anglers looking for a small reel, while the specified 8 kg maximum drag provides braking capacity during the fight. Set the drag to suit your line rather than treating the maximum as a recommended setting.
The reel has a 5.2:1 gear ratio and a 5+1 bearing configuration. The ratio describes the gearing, not the length of line retrieved per handle turn.
The stated capacity is 120 m of 0.165 mm line. Use this diameter-and-length pairing when planning how much line to spool, as the quoted length applies to that diameter.
