It is designed for one 13ft carp rod (396.24 cm) with its reel fitted. The 210x24cm sleeve accommodates 50mm butt rings and has a flared section for very large big-pit reels, freespool reels and other carp reels, so the reel can stay on the rod for transport.
Insert the rod with the reel facing forwards and position it in the closed uppermost 15 cm of the sleeve. The heavy-duty 10mm double zip is on the back of the rod, keeping it away from the line as you close the sleeve.
The sleeve uses durable, water-resistant material. Its main outer fabric and lining are each 100% polyester, with 100% polyurethane padding/filling for cushioned transport. The supplier's water-resistance claim concerns the material, not a fully waterproof closure.
Two stiffened carry handles provide a firm grip for transport. A ring at the upper end also lets you hang the sleeve up for storage rather than leaving it lying down.
