The Fox Horizon X5 - S Full shrink is a carp rod for bottom fishing. Its carbon blank recovers very quickly after the cast, supporting distance and accuracy while retaining a good fish-playing action.
Thin, multidirectional carbon layers are bonded through nanofibres using an electrode-based process. The construction includes multidirectionally woven nanofibres, interlaminar fabric and a 1k carbon mat, combining strength and power in a light, slim blank. Extra carbon reinforces the Power overfit joints where the sections connect.
Anti-Tangle K-Series Gunsmoke guides run from 50 mm to 16 mm and help reduce line tangles during casting. A Fuji 18 mm DPS-Gunsmoke reel seat holds the reel. The Full shrink version has understated styling and lettering.
This 12ft version measures approximately 3.66 m, has a 3.75lb test curve and weighs 422 g. Its two-piece construction packs down to 187 cm, a useful measurement when checking rod-holdall and vehicle space.
