The freespool system lets the fish take line on the bite. Turning the handle engages the front drag, which offers fine, stepless adjustment during the fight. This lets you switch directly from line release to controlling the fish.
It is designed for distance carp fishing on large waters, including bank fishing, boat fishing and bait-boat use. Capacity is 415 m at 0.35 mm, giving a clear reference when choosing line. The supplier recommends monofilament in this diameter and also describes braid with a monofilament leader for distance work.
The EOS 12000 FS has a 4.3:1 gear ratio, 10 ball bearings, one roller bearing and a weight of 642 g. The gearing supports controlled retrieval, while the bearings provide smooth running under load. Consider the stated weight when matching the reel to your rod.
Wipe it with a damp cloth after each session to remove dirt and deposits, and maintain moving parts regularly with reel oil. Store it dry and out of direct sunlight, following the supplier's care guidance between outings.

The Fox EOS 12000 FS is a freespool carp reel from the EOS-FS generation, designed for distance fishing on large, open waters. Its freespool system lets a fish take line on the bite. Turning the handle switches directly to the front drag, so you can move from line release to controlled fish playing without a separate adjustment. The system is suitable for beginners as well as experienced carp anglers.
The spool holds 415 m of 0.35 mm line, providing capacity for long-range bank fishing, boat fishing and placing rigs with a bait boat. This capacity is especially relevant when substantial line needs to remain on the spool at distance. The supplier recommends 0.35 mm monofilament and also describes braided main line with a monofilament leader for distance carp fishing.
The front drag offers fine, stepless adjustment while playing a fish. Ten ball bearings and one roller bearing provide smooth, quiet running under load, including during prolonged fights. The 4.3:1 gear ratio supports controlled, power-focused retrieval. The reel weighs 642 g and has a black finish.
Wipe the reel with a damp cloth after use to remove dirt and deposits. Maintain moving parts regularly with reel oil, then store the reel dry and away from direct sunlight.
