These rubber buffer sleeves protect the main line when playing carp on Naked Chod and helicopter rigs. The rig swivel sits on the tapered sleeve, which cushions pressure during the fight and prevents the swivel from damaging the line.
The sleeves suit Chod and helicopter rigs fished directly on a continuous monofilament or fluorocarbon main line. The tapered section can also be trimmed to adapt the sleeve to different leader materials.
A small side hole allows the rig to be configured so that the lead can be ejected. Lead release depends on how the rig is set up, rather than being an automatic feature of every arrangement. The sleeves feature the Edges Camo colouration.
