The Arma Point SSC features a pronounced Macro-Barb that helps keep the hook firmly set once a carp is hooked. This design reduces the risk of hook pulls during the fight without requiring excessive force to set.
A dedicated non-reflective coating keeps the hook from catching light at the lakebed, making the rig less likely to spook wary carp in clear or pressured water. The coating also offers a degree of surface protection.
