It covers the tip section of a packed carp rod, not the whole rod. The XL sleeve measures 49 × 5 cm and its long design accommodates different rod sections, so compare these dimensions with the section you want to protect.
Slip the sleeve over the packed rod's tip section and fasten the hook-and-loop strap below the tip guide. This secures the protector for carrying the rod to the fishing spot or transporting it in the car.
A stiffened end cap and extra padding over the upper 8 cm cushion knocks around the tip and guides during transport. The sleeve uses 100% polyester outer fabric and lining, with 100% polyurethane padding and filling.
