They help prevent the carp rod from being pulled out of the bite alarm when fishing with the reel drag locked. Rubber overmoulds on the upper half protect the rod where it contacts the ears.
The ears are designed for most bite alarms, especially Fox Micron N and M series models, rather than guaranteed to fit every alarm. The built-in screw-on Fox Swinger attachment helps align the alarm and Swinger. Compatible Swingers include MK2 Euro Swinger, Illuminated MK2 Euro Swinger, MK3 Swinger and Micro Swinger.
Yes. The ears unscrew so you can protect them during transport or leave them off when they are not needed.
This is size L, with a stated length of 12.7 cm and a black finish. The supplied snag-ear assembly includes the Swinger plate for one bite alarm, so a multi-alarm setup needs one assembly per alarm.

These snag ears help prevent a carp rod from being pulled out of the bite alarm when fishing with the reel drag locked. The integrated Swinger attachment on the base plate lets you align the alarm and Swinger together.
Designed to work with most bite alarms, especially Fox Micron N and M series models, the plate accepts Fox Swingers that screw onto it. Compatible models include the MK2 Euro Swinger, Illuminated MK2 Euro Swinger, MK3 Swinger and Micro Swinger.
Rubber overmoulds cover the upper half of the ears to protect the rod at the contact points. The ears unscrew, so you can remove them for protection during transport or leave them off when they are not needed.
