No. The reel comes pre-spooled with 0.15 mm braid, so you can skip loading line. If you prefer another line, the aluminium spool can also take replacement braid or monofilament of a suitable diameter.
It is intended for freshwater perch and trout fishing. Its compact size 1000 is suited to light spinning with small plugs, spinners and light jigs, making it an option for perch jigging or trout fishing in rivers. The supplier also lists trolling small plugs for trout.
Yes. Instant Anti-Reverse has an on/off lever. When engaged, it stops the handle turning backwards during a fight for direct contact with the fish, and the lever lets you disable that function when needed.
The supplier advises rinsing with clean water to remove dirt and residue, then allowing the reel to air-dry. Occasionally oil the moving parts to support their continued operation.

The DAM Quick Nova X is a freshwater spinning reel for beginners and recreational anglers targeting perch and trout. It comes pre-spooled with 0.15 mm braid, saving the task of loading line before a fishing trip.
The compact size 1000 suits light spinning with small plugs, spinners and light jigs, including jigging for perch and fishing for trout in flowing rivers. The supplier also identifies trolling small plugs for trout as a suitable use. The 1000FD weighs 250 g and has a 5.2:1 gear ratio with a stated retrieve of 66 cm per handle turn, useful figures for comparing its weight and line pickup with your existing setup.
The graphite body and rotor provide a stable foundation for regular use. The 2+1 bearings support a smooth retrieve, while the graphite handle arm has an ergonomic knob for comfortable winding during longer sessions. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents the handle turning backwards when engaged, maintaining direct contact during a fight. An on/off lever lets you disengage it when required.
The aluminium spool includes a line clip to hold the line securely. Although supplied with braid, the reel can be re-spooled with another braid or monofilament of a suitable diameter. After fishing, rinse with clean water and let the reel air-dry. Occasional oiling of moving parts is the supplier's maintenance advice.
