The DAM Foldable Scale EHS-838 is a water-resistant digital fish scale for weighing large catches up to 50 kg (110 lb). Two large, easy-to-grip folding handles let you hold the scale with both hands while weighing. They fold away for compact storage between sessions.
The large, illuminated LCD (liquid crystal display) makes readings easier to see in low light. It displays weight in kilograms or pounds and shows the battery level, so you can check the power remaining. The scale has a stated accuracy of 10 g and stores the heaviest measured weight for reference.
Attach your weigh sling and use the easy-to-operate tare function to set the reading to zero before weighing the fish. This excludes the sling's weight from the reading. The tare function can also exclude the weight of a weighing sack or unhooking mat.
The scale requires two AAA 1.5 V batteries, which are not included. Have these ready before using it. Automatic shutoff after 60 seconds saves power and helps prolong battery life.
