Its 3 m length helps lift the line when tensioning rigs to the opposite bank, fishing buoy rigs or routing line through distant diversion points. Compared with the 260 version mentioned by the manufacturer, its upper third has more power for this task.
The slim, lightweight two-piece blank starts with a tip action and bends into a harmonious semi-parabolic curve under load. It cushions catfish runs while providing the power to tire fish quickly, particularly when moving a fish out of a navigation channel or keeping it away from submerged obstacles. The rod has a 40lbs test curve and weighs 408 g.
The matt-black lacquered blank carries underwrapped Fuji K SS AL guides in a 10+1 layout. A firm Duplon grip is sized for catfish fishing, and the butt is finished with a hard-wearing hard-rubber cap. The Fuji DPSM 22 ASH screw reel seat has an extra locking nut to prevent the reel from loosening.
