It is primarily designed for catfish fishing from the bank on wide rivers and large lakes. Its 3.3 m length supports long casts to distant fish. Boat use is possible, but the length makes it less handy than a shorter rod in confined space.
The stated casting weight is 600 g, intended for heavy catfish rigs and large baits such as squid or wobblers. The through action distributes the casting load along the blank, making this a rod for heavy distance work rather than light presentations.
Yes, the LTS guides are suitable for thick braid and provide low-friction line passage. The supplier names braid from 0.40 mm upwards as a common choice for this catfish application, not as a stated minimum or maximum line rating.
The full-length EVA handle with X-Wrap Foregrip provides hold with wet hands, while the DPS 20B M1 reel seat secures a standard catfish reel. Together with the through action, these features support handling when fighting fish at distance.
The 510 g rod separates into two sections and comes with a cloth bag. This lets you pack it down rather than carry it at its full 3.3 m length, with the bag protecting the surface from scratches during transport and storage.

The Black Cat Shadow Cat Long Range is a catfish rod designed for fishing far from the bank on wide rivers and large lakes. Its 3.3 m length supports distance casting, while the through action spreads the load along the blank when casting heavy rigs and playing strong catfish. The casting weight is 600 g.
This rod is intended for heavy catfish rigs and large baits, with squid and wobblers among the supplier's examples. LTS guides provide low-friction line passage and are suitable for thick braid. The supplier describes braid from 0.40 mm upwards as a common choice for this application.
A full-length EVA handle with an X-Wrap Foregrip provides a secure hold with wet hands, helping you maintain control during a fight at distance. The DPS 20B M1 reel seat holds the reel securely and is intended for standard catfish reels.
The rod weighs 510 g and has two sections. A cloth bag is included to protect the surface from scratches during storage and transport. Boat use is possible, but the 3.3 m length and distance-casting focus make it primarily a bank-fishing rod rather than a compact boat option.
