It suits catfish deadbait rigs and multi-hook livebait rigs, including subfloat and buoy setups. The strongly offset design and long, sharp, bent point support hooking, so you can use this pattern across these bait presentations.
Yes. The large, bent, welded eye is explicitly suitable for monofilament leaders, allowing you to tie mono rigs with this hook. The supplier does not specify a maximum leader diameter.
DG Coating has a smoother surface than Teflon® and, according to the supplier, four times higher corrosion resistance than conventional coatings. It adds corrosion protection, but the hooks still require safe storage and handling.
You receive six loose single hooks in size 10/0 with DG Coating. They are supplied for building your own rigs, not as complete pre-tied leaders.
Use a safe container and keep it out of children’s reach, as the sharp hooks can cause serious injury. Handle them carefully and dispose of used or damaged hooks safely to avoid injury during handling or transport.

The Black Cat Mega Hook DG is a single hook for building catfish bait rigs, including subfloat and buoy rigs. Its strongly offset design and long, sharp, bent point help the hook take hold in the fish’s mouth. It suits deadbait rigs as well as multi-hook livebait rigs, so the same hook pattern can be used for different bait presentations.
The large, bent, welded eye accommodates monofilament leaders. This makes the hook suitable for rigs tied with mono rather than restricting you to other leader materials.
DG Coating has a smoother surface than Teflon®. The supplier states four times higher corrosion resistance than conventional coatings, providing added corrosion protection for the hook.
This version contains six loose single hooks in size 10/0. They are components for building your own rigs, not pre-tied leaders.
Sharp hooks can cause serious injury. Handle them carefully and check their suitability for the intended use. Transport and store them in a safe container, out of children’s reach, and dispose of used or damaged hooks safely to prevent injury. Follow the safety and usage instructions. The manufacturer excludes liability for damage or injury caused by improper use, storage or transport.
