The spool geometry encourages consistent, almost self-guided line lay during retrieval — so your line beds down neatly every time, ready for the next cast.

Built to Withstand the Drill

The one-piece machine-milled aluminium body, oversized brass gear components, and CNC stainless steel handle are all chosen for durability under serious load. Seven ball bearings deliver smooth operation, while the MegaDrag™ system — combining stainless steel and carbon fibre drag washers — delivers up to 30 kg (66 lbs) of braking force. The infinite anti-reverse keeps pressure on during the fight. Black Cat deliberately omitted a line guide and T-bar to ensure an unrestricted, clean line flow off the spool.
