They are especially suited to deadbait and multi-hook rigs, where the discreet single hook replaces a treble. They can also be used to tie underwater-float hooklengths, buoy rigs and vertical baitfish systems for active or static catfish fishing.
Insert the two barbed rear spears beneath the baitfish's skin. They fix the hook at a 90° angle, keeping its very sharp point clear of the bait for a discreet presentation with an exposed hook point.
Black Cat states that DG Coating is much smoother than Teflon® and offers four times the corrosion resistance of conventional coatings. It is therefore the coating option here for a smooth surface and improved corrosion resistance, not corrosion immunity.
The pack contains five loose single hooks in size #6/0 with DG Coating. These are components for tying your own rigs, rather than a ready-made rig.
Handle them cautiously because the sharp hooks can cause serious injury, and check their suitability before use. Store and transport them in a safe container out of children's reach, and dispose of used or damaged hooks properly to prevent accidental injury.

The Black Cat Ghost Rig Hook DG is a strong single hook for active and static catfish fishing with baitfish. Designed especially for deadbait and multi-hook rigs, it replaces a conspicuous treble with a less visible single hook. Two barbed spears on its rear secure it beneath the baitfish's skin, holding the hook at a 90° angle with its very sharp point standing clear of the bait. This presentation is intended for cautious catfish.
Insert the two rear spears beneath the baitfish's skin to fix the hook in place. The attachment keeps the bait secured while leaving the point exposed. The hooks can be used to build underwater-float hooklengths, buoy rigs and vertical baitfish systems, so they suit both active presentations and static setups.
The DG Coating provides a smooth surface. Black Cat describes it as much smoother than Teflon® and states four times the corrosion resistance of conventional coatings. These are coating benefits for hooks exposed to water during bait fishing, not a guarantee against corrosion.
This version is size #6/0 and contains five loose single hooks. It supplies hooks for building your own rigs, not a complete pre-tied rig.
Sharp hooks can cause serious injury. Handle them cautiously and check that they are suitable for the intended use. Transport and store them only in a safe container, out of children's reach. Dispose of used or damaged hooks properly to prevent injury. Follow the supplied safety and usage instructions. The manufacturer excludes liability for damage or injury resulting from improper use, storage or transport.
