It is intended for catfish bait rigs, especially deadbait and multi-hook setups, where it replaces a conspicuous treble. Supported applications include underwater-float rigs, buoy rigs and vertical systems for active or static catfish fishing.
Insert the two rear barbed spikes beneath the baitfish's skin. They hold the hook at a 90° angle to the bait, so the sharp main point stands clear rather than being buried in the baitfish.
The supplier states that DG Coating is much smoother than Teflon® and offers four times the corrosion resistance of conventional coatings. It provides a smooth, corrosion-protective finish, but the Teflon comparison does not identify the coating material.
The pack contains five loose size 5/0 single hooks, not a pre-tied rig. Build them into your chosen setup and transport and store them in a secure container out of children's reach, as the sharp points can cause serious injury.

The Black Cat Ghost Rig Hook is a strong single hook for catfish bait rigs, particularly deadbait and multi-hook setups. It replaces a conspicuous treble with a less visible hook, while two rear-facing barbed spikes secure it to the baitfish and leave the sharp hook point standing clear. This presentation is intended for cautious catfish.
Insert the two rear spikes beneath the baitfish's skin to hold the hook at a 90° angle to the bait. The spikes fix the hook in position without burying its main point in the baitfish. Suitable applications include active and static catfish fishing with underwater-float rigs, buoy rigs and vertical systems.
DG Coating provides a surface described by the supplier as much smoother than Teflon®, with four times the corrosion resistance of conventional coatings. It combines a smooth hook surface with corrosion protection.
This version contains five loose hooks in size 5/0 for building your own rigs. The sharp hooks can cause serious injury. Check their suitability before use, handle them cautiously and transport and store them in a secure container out of children's reach. Dispose of used or damaged hooks safely to prevent injury.
