It is designed for active fishing with vertical rigs, fireball rigs and a catfish clonk directly beneath the boat. Choose it for these under-boat presentations rather than treating it as a reel specifically designed for trolling.
The 710 LH has a left-hand retrieve and weighs 390 g. It suits anglers who want to wind with the left hand, with a low weight that supports balanced rod handling during active fishing.
The finely adjustable lever drag can be changed with one finger during a fight. The stainless steel and carbon fibre Mega Drag system provides 15 kg of drag strength, allowing quick resistance adjustments as the fish pulls.
The stated capacity is 345 m of 0.25 mm monofilament, and the gear ratio is 7.2:1. Use that capacity as a reference for line selection, while the fast gearing supports winding line in during active presentations.

The Black Cat Battle Cat Vertical 710 LH is a left-hand multiplier reel for active catfish fishing with vertical rigs, fireball rigs and a catfish clonk directly beneath the boat. Its 390 g weight supports balanced handling on the rod during repeated presentations, while the finely adjustable drag lets you change resistance with one finger during a fight.
The Mega Drag system combines stainless steel and carbon fibre and provides 15 kg of drag strength. The lever adjustment makes it easy to respond during a fight without a complicated adjustment. An extra-large, ergonomic handle knob gives a secure grip when winding. This is a left-hand model, so choose it if you want to turn the handle with your left hand.
The stated monofilament capacity is 345 m of 0.25 mm line, giving a clear reference when choosing line diameter and fill quantity. The 7.2:1 gear ratio supports a fast retrieve for active presentations, and seven ball bearings provide smooth reel action.
The aluminium body resists twisting under load, while hardened brass gearing transmits the winding force. An aluminium spool holds the line. The DuraLok anti-reverse system and roller bearing prevent backward rotation, helping maintain control when a fish pulls. The reel also has a multilayer coating.
