It is designed for static catfish fishing from the bank with heavy bottom rigs, large float rigs or deadbait rigs. The 2.8 m rod is rated for 180–300 g, so match the complete rig to that range. Deep areas, strong current and steep drop-offs are supported uses.
The Fuji DPS reel seat accepts a range of fixed-spool and freespool reels, while the Fuji GM SIN guides are suitable for monofilament and braid. The supplier recommends strong line for static catfish fishing, so choose your setup for the heavy rigs and strong fish rather than light lure work.
The fast 24- and 30-tonne carbon blank has a sensitive tip for registering bites and reserve power lower down for the fight. The X-coated fighting grip improves hold in wet conditions, and the lower grip adds comfort on long bank sessions, helping you keep control when a fish takes.
The two-piece rod has a transport length of 145 cm and weighs 425 g. Allow that length in your vehicle or storage space. A 600D Oxford fabric bag is included for protection during transport and storage.

The Fuji DPS reel seat holds the reel securely and accepts a range of fixed-spool and freespool reels. Fuji GM SIN guides provide low-friction line guidance during the fight and are suitable for both monofilament and braided line. The supplier recommends strong line for this heavy-rig application.
The X-shaped coating on the fighting grip helps maintain hold when wet, while the lower grip adds comfort during long bank sessions. The rod has a dark green and gold finish with a discreet Black Cat logo. It is aimed primarily at experienced catfish anglers. Newcomers need basic knowledge of rig setup and playing fish to use it effectively.
The two-piece rod weighs 425 g and has a transport length of 145 cm, which is the dimension to check against your storage and transport space. A 600D Oxford fabric bag is included to protect it during transport and storage.
